Viking
Cod Trip - Montauk NY - April 1, 2007
A.
Nigro and I went on the Viking star to catch a few cod on April 1. It was a
gorgeous day, bright sun and no wind. First whistle blew at sun up and
Adam went right to work. His first fish shattered the previous NSAC
record. It was a massive 6lb 3oz specimen and would hold throughout the
day. Both anglers had a steady pick of fish in this size range on jigs and
bait. I tried a new secret jig that may be of interest to my fellow
NSACs. It is a glow in the dark jig from Europe
that the cod loved (see pic). Check www.fishtek.co.uk
for more info.
