After a brutal brutal work week, decided best way to clear the head Saturday was to spend the day with baby daughter then hit the magic hour for beach bass in the evening. Got to the Bay Club beach at ~6pm. Had a decent outgoing (10pm lo) and little wind. Nice 652pm sundown. Worked the west side of bay club & petitts old house around jetties. A few casts working the wood peanut popper with white/grey teaser. A few casts for nada but then saw something come up at take a swipe. Guessing bass tail slap. Lobbed one back to same spot, let the popper sit, then worked it back slow w/ a few pops here and there. Within two casts had first of the nites 5 bass. All bass were pups but nice fight on the lite tackle -- 12-20". Took 3 on white teaser-popper, then went east towards bay hills and nailed 2 more after dark on black teasers trailed by yellow chix scratch swimmer. Home for dinner by 730 so left em biting……fyi, tried Sunday mid day by wincoma. Raised only one blue who crashed the lure but got away. Pics of Sat pm bass
