Father's
Day Fishing in Nantucket Sound - June 17, 2007
BB
took RB, BV, and myself out on the Bofish to do some fishing off the south
shore
of
Cape Cod
this past Sunday. The weather was
perfect – 80 degrees, sunny, with a light breeze. We
left
Cotuit
Bay
early in the afternoon and headed out into Nantucket Sound.
BB and RV immediately put us on the fish.
Within a few casts each of us had a fish. Almost every cast produced a
good size bluefish. The
fish were so aggressive that they would jump a couple feet out of the air during
the fight (see video below). The biggest fish of the day was around
6lb. We saw a few bass but could not
get them to bite on poppers or anything else we had in our tackle boxes.
After a few hours of reeling in blues we called it a day and took the
long way back to check out the bays surrounding Osterville Grand Island.
It was a great day on the water and a good time had by all.
